American musician and actress, Rebecca Marie Gomez, popularly known as Becky G was born on March 2nd, 1997 in Inglewood, California in the United States of America.

Gomez was born to Mexican-American parents, Francisco Gomez and Alejandra Gomez. She shares the same parents with her three siblings; two brothers, Alex Gomez and Frankie Gomez and her younger sister, Stephanie Gomez.

Gomez was up in Moreno Valley, where at the age of nine her family had to move out of their home owing to financial difficulties and into the converted garage of her grandparents’ home. Gomez started performing voiceover and commercial work as a part-time profession to support her family.

When she was nine years old, she experienced what she called a “mid-life crisis” and made the decision to pursue a career in music. She initially went to a public school, but because of bullying concerns, she had to receive her education at home.

She stated that because of her work in the entertainment sector, she was frequently targeted and that at one instance several girls jumped her while she was in the lavatory.
