The Path of the Ronin limited-time event is currently live on all platforms where Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is available, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. To claim the rewards at the end of each challenge, players must walk the path of the ronin. However, it is important to note that this path is challenging and dangerous, and it may involve shedding blood, either of one’s enemies or one’s own. Nonetheless, this article can guide players in completing the challenges. Before embarking on this journey, players should be aware of the rewards that await them.

Completing the event’s challenges will reward players with the new crossbow weapon, which is exclusive to this event. This weapon is in keeping with the season’s Japanese theme, which includes the Ashika Island map and Ronin operator. The challenges in this event are based on the Seven Virtues of Bushido, namely Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty. Each challenge offers a reward upon completion, such as XP or a weapon charm.

The Path of the Ronin event comprises a total of 14 challenges, with seven challenges for multiplayer and seven challenges for Warzone. However, players do not have to complete all 14 challenges to unlock the Crossbow. Each section of the event offers either a Warzone challenge or a multiplayer challenge, which means players can choose the game mode they prefer and still unlock the Crossbow.

The Ronin Challenges in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

INTEGRITY CHALLENGE :

Team up with friends in both multiplayer and battle royale modes. While Team Deathmatch is faster than objective modes, having reliable teammates to assist you is crucial. Play any multiplayer mode and win as quickly as possible to reach 15 wins to complete this challenge. So, queue together and win.

HONOR CHALLENGE :

To complete the challenge in multiplayer, you should focus on playing Hardpoint or Domination modes. The objective is to hold the Hardpoint or Domination point and eliminate as many enemies as possible. In Warzone 2, there’s a new feature called Restoring Honor that drops your dog tag upon death. You can retrieve it by returning to the location of your death once you respawn in the match. However, be cautious and scan the area for any nearby enemies before retrieving your tag.

For the challenge that requires 100 kills while defending a point, you’ll need to play specific match types such as Domination, Hardpoint, Control, or Headquarters. This objective can be more challenging, but don’t give up. Stay focused on defending the point and eliminating any opponents to complete the challenge in no time.

SINCERITY CHALLENGE :

Use Battle Rage Field Upgrade and get 50 kills in any mode. One thing to remember, as it’s an Operator Challenge you need to kill Human Opponents. Killing Bots won’t help you complete the challenge.

COMPASSION CHALLENGE :

Complete this task by playing Quickplay and getting 100 Operator Assist Kills. Our suggestion will be to play Resurgence.

COURAGE CHALLENGE:

Get into respawning game modes in MW2 like Team Deathmatch and Domination and use 3 Kill streaks without dying 25 times. For Warzone go to Search and Seizure and drive a marked vehicle to the designated area and complete the challenge.

LOYALTY CHALLENGE :

For this challenge, The Data Heist public event will pop up during the first or second circle. It will indicate a specific location where you will find a laptop. You’re going to have to download 81 files and while it’s downloading, you will protect the area. The challenge will end once all the files are downloaded. You will get 8k as rewards.

For MW2 you just need to get 50 Operator Revenge kills in any game mode.

RESPECT CHALLENGE :

You just have to get 3 executions. You can sneak up behind someone and get the kills.

Use an Operator Melee weapon preferably a Pistol to kill your enemies, Team Deathmatch is the best mode for this.

REWARD FOR COMPLETING PATH OF RONIN

Upon completing all seven challenges, the player will unlock the Crossbow, which is a highly customizable weapon praised for its silent and agile features. Furthermore, the Crossbow’s standard 20″ bolts are recoverable after being fired and cannot be detected by enemy trophy systems.

The Crossbow is set to release during Season 2 as part of the Tracer Pack: Ballistic Love Bundle. This bundle includes the Snack operator skin for Reyes, two holiday-themed weapon blueprints, a vehicle skin, and other items with a Cupid theme.
