Andrade, a third-generation pro wrestler, made his debut a month before turning 14 and went as Brillante Jr. in honor of his father, who also competed as Brillante.

He competed for eight years for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as La Sombra, winning the 2011 Universal Championship, the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, and the CMLL World Tag Team Championship while simultaneously holding the Mexican National Trios Championship, NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, and CMLL World Tag Team Championship.

He was one of the original members of the group known as Los Ingobernables, or “the Ungovernables,” and he defeated Volador Jr., Olmpico, and El Felino in Lucha de Apuestas bouts to win their masks before losing his own to Atlantis.
