Inside Cody Johnson and Brandi's blissful marriage: The couple share two kids!  

Cody Johnson has won a legion of hearts in a relatively short span. The country singer-songwriter rose to massive acclaim when his first major-label album, Ain't Nothin' to It, released in 2019, garnered exponential love from country fans. Johnson has since risen fast to be called one of the most promising country artists. 

Born on May 21, 1987, in Sebastopol, Texas, Cody laid his foundation to stardom as a kid as he started playing music at 12, honed his songwriting and instrumental skills as a teenager, and formed his first band with his musically talented father, Carl Johnson, at 19. Johnson worked as a bull rider and a prison guard before committing to music.

Johnson's personal life is amassing fans' attention as the country star steadily joins the league of the most prominent country singers. Johnson hustled to launch his musical career for years and recently landed his due breakthrough. Through the testing journey, the country star had the unwavering support of his wife, Brandi Johnson, who cheered for Cody on days he felt like giving up. "There are times I’ve wanted to quit music, even in the last five years," Cody said in an interview before explaining how Brandi kept him going.   

Cody and Brandi's love tale is like no other. The 'Til You Can't hitmaker was 21 when he and Brandi, who was 18 at the time, first crossed paths at a bar. Things escalated pretty fast once the duo embarked on their romantic journey. Cody and Brandi had moved in together within a month of meeting. They were engaged after a year and married after another.   

The country singer has been candid about his wife's part in his success. Johnson once shared how Brandi encouraged him to put all his eggs in one basket. In 2006, he was working as a prison guard and dabbling in music on the side when Brandi convinced him to go all in.  

Showing her immense faith in her husband, Brandi even quit college and took two jobs to fulfill Cody's dream. "I pretty much owe everything I have to her. I pray daily, "Thank you for this woman,'" says the country star. Brandi is not just a doting homemaker; as per Cody, she has been playing a significant role in his craft.   

Aside from being Cody's constant muse, Brandi's grand vision helped Johnson create his 2018 hitmaker, On My Way to You. The CMT Music Award winner revealed that he let Brandi make all the decisions for the song's music video. "She had a great vision of the look, the feel, the producer, etc. She did a great job," Johnson shared.

If you thought Cody couldn't get any more lucky in his personal life, wait till you learn about the singer's two adorable kids. Although the pair tied the knot early in their relationship, they embraced parenthood only when they felt ready.

Cody and Brandi welcomed their first daughter, Clara Mae, in 2015 and their second, Cori, in 2017. The proud parents have been homeschooling their kids, with Brandi taking on their "formal schooling." Cody and his perfect family reside in East Texas, where his wife and daughters live the humble ranch life.  

Unlike most star kids who are used to living in the limelight and can't do without modern appliances at their instant disposal, Cody's daughters are growing up close to nature, with their cowboy father teaching them core ranching skills. "[The girls] feed the cows with me and then do their schoolwork," shares the singer.   

Cody's hectic career and days on the road have been challenging for the singer's family life, but the singer is slowly adjusting to the circumstances and finding ways to keep it balanced. More often than not, Cody takes his wife and daughters on tours, exposing them to a different lifestyle at a young age. 

Johnson's tiny humans have apparently learned to identify with their father's profession. "They watch daddy play, and they get in the living room in their little bouncy house and get their microphones and play their little guitars," says Cody while dishing on how his girls are starting to imitate him.    

The country star has no intention of pointing his daughters in the direction of music; instead, Cody wants them to do "Whatever they want to." "Whatever that may be. I'm gonna support them 100 percent," says the doting father. Cody's sheer adoration for his family was captured in his 2022 MV, Human, which featured his wife and their two girls.
