Colin Jost (born Colin Kelly Jost on June 29, 1982 in Staten Island, New York) was only 22 when he was hired to be a writer on Saturday Night Live, shortly after graduating from Harvard. He became SNL’s writing supervisor following the 2012-2013 season. Producer Lorne Michaels then asked him to take over the Weekend Update chair after the previous anchor, Seth Meyers, left the show to become the host of Late Night With Seth Meyers. He has been nominated for five Emmy Awards.
