Wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was born on January 24, 1999. He plays American football. He participated on the Alabama squad that won the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship while playing college football there. The Raiders picked Ruggs in the opening round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Ruggs was responsible for an automobile accident that killed a 23-year-old woman during his second season. The same day, the Raiders released him. As of January 2023, Ruggs had been charged with careless driving and DUI causing death. He is still awaiting trial.

In high school, Ruggs also participated in basketball and track; his timing of 10.58 seconds for the 100-meter dash is the class 7A record for the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

Ruggs was listed as Alabama’s second-best high school football player in 2017 by 247Sports.com. More than 20 institutions offered Ruggs football scholarships, but he decided to attend the University of Alabama.

Henry started his career in 2017, as he was a fresh player. He won many games for his college team. He played for Alabama college and won 9 matches for them and broke the record of the team. In 2017, he became one of the best football players in his college. Many colleges wanted to choose henry, however, henry chose to play for the University of Alabama. 

 In 2020 he was selected by the NFL draft Las Vegas Raiders as their 12 choices. In April 2020, henry also became a member of Three Square. In 2020,  he became the best wide receiver on the team. 

According to Las Vegas police and county prosecutors, Ruggs rear-ended another vehicle violently on November 2, 2021, killing 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog. Intoxicated driving causing death and dangerous driving are the charges against Ruggs.
