The author, theatrical set, and costume designer was 63 years old at the time of his death. Falconer’s lawyer and agent, Conrad Rippy, said that his cause of death was kidney failure.
Originally created as a Christmas gift in 1996 for Ian’s then 3-year-old niece Olivia, the 1st Olivia book was published in 2000.
