Jadeveon Clowney is an American football defensive end who was born on February 14th, 1993 in Rock Hills, South California in the United States of America.

Clowney played high school football for the South Pointe Stallions while attending South Pointe High School. He played running back and defensive end for the school’s junior varsity team in 2007 at the age of 6-3 and 200 lbs.

He joined rising seniors Stephon Gilmore and DeVonte Holloman on the South Pointe varsity for his sophomore year after the team finished the previous year with a 9-4 record. Clowney established himself as a cornerstone at the defensive end by spring practice.

The Houston Texans selected Clowney with the first overall choice in the 2014 NFL Draft. Clowney was the third player taken first overall by the Texans, following Mario Williams and David Carr. He was the first player in NFL history to be selected first overall and the highest recruit by a unanimous vote, as well as the first defensive player to do it since Williams.
