Jeremy Shockey parents-Former American football player, Jeremy Charles Shockey was born on August 18th, 1980 in Ada, Oklahoma.

Shockey, an Ada High School graduate from 1999, lettered all four years while playing primarily outside linebacker and wide receiver.

The New York Giants selected Shockey with the 14th pick overall in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft.

The first Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year was given to him, and in four of his first five seasons (2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006), he was selected for the Pro Bowl. He instantly flourished in the NFL. He served as one of the offensive passing targets for the Giants.

On October 12, 2005, Shockey extended his five-year contract with the Giants, becoming the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.

The agreement stated that Shockey will be paid $26.38 million through 2011. During the 2006 campaign, Shockey put forth yet another outstanding showing, catching 66 passes for 623 yards and tying a career-high with seven touchdown grabs. Shockey earned a spot in the Pro Bowl as a result of his work.

Shockey developed into a crucial offensive weapon for the Saints in 2009, hauling in 48 catches for 569 yards on an average of almost 12 yards per catch.

On March 3, 2011, Shockey agreed to a $4 million, one-year contract with the Panthers, with $1 million guaranteed.
