Markiplier Siblings: Meet Thomas Fischbach

Markiplier siblings-American YouTuber and film director, Mark Edward Fischbach, well known as Markiplier was born on June 28, 1989, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Markiplier was born to Sunok Frank and Cliffton Fischbach. The family relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio after Markiplier was born, but his parents split up when he was a little child.

After graduating from Milford High School in 2007, Fischbach enrolled in a biomedical engineering program at the University of Cincinnati.

He lost his father in 2008. When Markiplier roomed with Bob Muyskens in his first year of college, he also met Wade Barnes, who would go on to become one of his closest friends and collaborators.

Markiplier experienced a number of problems in 2012, including a breakup, job loss, moving into an apartment after his mother ejected him from her home, an emergency appendectomy, and financial difficulties.

Markiplier is well-known for his videos of independent horror games and primarily uploads Let’s Plays.

With the help of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series and Let’s Plays of Amnesia: The Dark Descent (2010), Fischbach rose to fame on YouTube after signing up for the service in 2012. His channel had more than 35 million members as of June 2023.

In 2016, Fischbach signed a contract with the talent management firm William Morris Endeavor after indicating a desire for more conventional entertainment.

He embarked on a live tour, launched the Cloak apparel brand, wrote and directed the YouTube Original series A Heist with Markiplier (2019) and In Space with Markiplier (2022), and produced a number of podcasts, two of which peaked at No. 1 on Spotify.

Fischbach transferred to United Talent Agency in 2023. Fischbach stated in April 2023 that he will be directing the making of the horror movie Iron Lung, which will be his feature film debut.

One of the most well-known gaming YouTubers on the network is Fischbach. He has four Streamy Awards and a Golden Joystick Award for “Best Streamer/Broadcaster” under his belt. In 2022, Forbes ranked him as the third highest-paid content provider on the site.

Additionally, he has worked with well-known people like Jimmy Kimmel and Jack Black. Fischbach was well-known for his charitable endeavors, which included the Best Friends Animal Society, the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

In November 2014, Fischbach became a member of Red Giant Entertainment’s board of directors. He co-hosted a panel with corporate representatives Benny R. Powell, the company’s CEO, and writers David Campiti, Mort Castle, David Lawrence, and Brian Augustyn in June of that year at the San Diego Comic-Con. It was revealed in 2016 that he would be featured in his own line of comics.

He has provided the voice for 5.0.5 on the Cartoon Network series Villainous since 2017. Aimed at the gaming community, Fischbach and fellow YouTuber Seán McLoughlin introduced the Cloak apparel line in October 2018. In 2020, streamer Imane Anys became a partner and creative director at Cloak.
