She subsequently starred in the film How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965) before eventually landing the major character role in the film El Dorado as Josephine Joey MacDonald.

Moving forward she appeared in lots of other films and series some of which are Live a Little, Love a Little, (1968), The Sweet Ride (1968), Mission Impossible, (1969), It Takes a Thief (1970), The Six Million Dollar Man (1973), and In the Shadow of Kilimanjaro (1986).

Carey died a natural death on November 21, 2018, aged 76 in Newport Beach, California.
