Cheryl Reeve is a talented basketball coach who is currently serving as the head coach of the women’s basketball team Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. As the coach with the highest percentage of winning, she has led her team to four league championships.

Carley and her wife met back in 2006 when they worked for the women’s basketball team, Detroit Shock. At that time, she was a director of sales while her spouse, Cheryl, was an assistant coach for the team.

Moreover, after dating for a while, the couple decided to share the rest of life with each other and walked down the aisle in 2011. Currently, the president lives with her partner, their lovely son, and two dogs.

Is An Ohio University Graduate

Cheryl Reeve’s partner received her high school diploma from the St. Ursula Academy in 1997. After that, she joined Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration and Women’s Studies in 2001. She seems to be passionate about sport since her childhood.

During her college days, she was involved in various activities and societies, such as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, MAC Champs, and Feminist Majority. In addition to that, she was a forward for her college’s Women’s Soccer Team and a musician and singer in her own band.

After earning a bachelor’s degree, the head coach’s spouse received her master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. She majored in Sports Administration and Women’s Studies.

While pursuing her master’s degree, Carley focused on sports sociology and taught “Sport and Gender,” a senior-level course. Moreover, she also presented an award-winning graduate thesis.

Cheryl Reeve’s Partner Is The President At Lynx

As already mentioned, Carley was passionate about sports and was active in various sports activities. Well, she successfully established herself as one of the significant members of the league.

The Lynx’s coach’s wife worked as the first assistant women’s soccer coach at St. Bonaventure University from 2001 to 2002. After that, she worked as a sales and marketing intern at Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic/2011 U.S. Senior Open for seven months.

Later in 2005, Detroit Shock hired the partner of Lynx coach as a director of sales and marketing, and she served the team until December 2009. Finally, in 2010,  she joined Minnesota Lynx as a business development manager and eventually became a director of business operations in 2012.

After serving Minnesota Lynx for more than a decade, Knox became a vice president of business operations and was eventually promoted to the president of business operations in February 2021.

Above all, Cheryl Reeve’s partner, Carley Knox is very active in promoting equals rights for women, coverage of women’s sports, creating opportunities for young women in sports, and LGBTQ issues. Also, she is the winner of the Lavender Community Pride Award for LGBTQ individuals in 2021.

Carley and her wife Cheryl Reeve are the proud parents of one son, Oliver. He was born in the mid-2010s, and it seems the pair brought their little one to the family when he was little.

Entering parenthood must have been exciting for the pair, and they love their child a lot. The son of the head coach also has a lovely nickname, Ollie. 

Oliver has completed his first year of kindergarten and must be preparing to go to primary school. His parents were very excited and happy about it that they even shared it in one of the interviews. Moreover, little Ollie is fond of sports and has never missed any match of  Minnesota Lynx.
