Famous American actress and transgender, Laverne Cox was born on May 29th, 1972 in Mobile, Alabama in the United States of America.

She is well-known for her advocacy for the LGBTQi community in the United State. Laverne was the first transgender to be nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards in an acting category.

She also become the first to be nominated for an Emmy Award since composer, Angela Morley in 1990. Her portrayal of Sophia Burset in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black helped her gain notoriety.

Cox co-produced and co-hosted the VH1 makeover television series TRANSform Me and participated as a contestant in the first season of the reality series I Want to Work for Diddy on VH1. Cox received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award from GLAAD in April 2014 in recognition of her efforts on behalf of the transgender community.

Well, she was reported to have dated a man she hit away from the cameras, hence the man’s details was unknown neither did she make any revelations about their affair on any platform. This was said to be her first relationship since she gender transitioned.

Laverne Cox then dated Kyle Draper who is a social media expert in 2017. However, their relationship hit rocks in 2019 for unknown reasons. Somewhere in 2021, Cox revealed that she is in her third relationship as a transgender woman but she has no plans to unveil the identity of her new partner.

However, it was rumored that the aid boyfriend is 22 years younger that she was as she was then 48 years old. Cox is not married yet but she hopes to attach herself to someone permanently some day.
