A Lifeless body, charred and beyond recognition, was discovered in the trunk of a burned vehicle near the swampy Foix reservoir. The sight was deeply distressing, even for the experienced coroner.

There’s a belief that Rosa and Albert orchestrated the murder of Rodríguez as they aimed to forge a new life together, removing Pedro from the equation.

According to sources, Rosa and her partner attacked Pedro, fatally shooting him in the head. However, during the court proceedings, each accused the other of the heinous act.

Rosa Peral Sentenced For 25 Years

The murder trial commenced on February 3, 2020, with Rosa and her lover, Albert López, facing accusations of killing Pedro Rodríguez in the early morning of May 1, 2017.

During the trial, both defendants pointed fingers at each other. Rosa accused López of murdering her boyfriend out of jealousy, while López claimed that Rosa had killed him in self-defense and sought his assistance in disposing of the body.

The prosecution argued that the two defendants had deliberately planned to eliminate Rodríguez. They had a romantic relationship and intended to resume it by eliminating Rosa’s current partner.

The prosecution sought a prison sentence of 24 years for López and 25 years for Rosa, charging them with murder involving treachery.

Rosa, in particular, faced an additional aggravating circumstance due to her prior relationship with the victim. Ultimately, the court sentenced Rosa to 25 years and López to 20 years.

Furthermore, both convicts were ordered to compensate the victim’s family with 885,000 euros. It’s important to note that Rosa received an additional five-year sentence due to the aggravating circumstance of her kinship with the victim.
